The course is aimed at students who are motivated to learn, explore new perspectives and engage with global sustainability challenges. Participants who successfully complete the programme will be awarded <strong>3 ECTS<\/strong>, recognising their active involvement and learning achievements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Why participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>International networking: Meet each other in Germany and learn with peers from all over Europe in a multicultural environment.<\/li>\n<li>Innovative learning: Benefit from cutting-edge teaching methods that combine an online session with five engaging face-to-face sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability skills: Develop personal skills in dealing with climate change, apply environmentally conscious behaviour in everyday situations and promote sustainable behaviours.<\/li>\n<li>Earn 3 ECTS: The course will be credited as an elective course.<\/li>\n<li>No prior knowledge required: the course is accessible to all students, regardless of their prior knowledge of sustainability or climate change.<\/li>\n<li>Fully funded: Travel costs (flights, trains), accommodation and meals are fully covered for international students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Highlights of the programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Interdisciplinary learning: The programme combines key scientific concepts of climate change with practical application, reflection on one&#8217;s own behaviour and solution-oriented discussions.<\/li>\n<li>Interactive and engaging: Expect lively discussions, group activities and hands-on projects that will encourage you to rethink sustainability from different angles.<\/li>\n<li>Social and cultural program: Look forward to excursions to historically and culturally significant cities in Germany, Bavaria such as W\u00fcrzburg and Nuremberg, which will give you the opportunity to deepen your contacts with other participants outside the teaching class.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Timetable for the course<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>March 2025: Digital kick-off (ZOOM conference)<\/li>\n<li>2. May 2025: First digital unit (ZOOM conference)<\/li>\n<li><strong>19. until May 23, 2025: Face-to-face sessions at THWS, Germany:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>19. May: Unit 5 (final presentation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Assessments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">At the end of the course you must submit the following:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>A written portfolio reflecting on your personal learning journey.<\/li>\n<li>A final presentation based on group work and individual findings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>About the project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Erasmus+ project PeGSinHE runs from 1 November, 2023 to 31 October, 2025 and aims to prepare students and teachers for the challenges of climate change in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The project follows an integrative approach and consists of five interconnected work packages led by the partner universities from Lithuania, Finland, Austria, Spain and THWS in Germany. PeGSinHE focuses on promoting green skills, i.e. core competencies related to sustainability, through innovative teaching formats and train-the-trainer programs. The aim is to raise awareness of sustainability issues and enable teachers to effectively integrate these topics into their curricula. As part of the project, a new elective module (3 ECTS) will be developed and tested with students and lecturers from all five partner universities, which provides a deeper understanding of anthropogenic climate change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Don\u2019t miss this opportunity to improve your personal and professional skills while contributing to a sustainable future.
